Description
Few words are abused as often as visionary, but from everything we’ve heard about director Robert Lepage’s newly rebooted, tech-savvy production of this too-infrequently encountered Berlioz drama, it’s probably warranted here. Factor in the Marguerite of mezzo Susan Graham, unbeatable in French repertoire, and you can see why this run is selling out swiftly. Marcello Giordani sings the title role, John Relyea is Méphistophélès and James Levine conducts.
