Description
Anthony Minghella’s production of this popular Puccini tragedy offers some of the most striking stage pictures ever presented in this house, but Patricia Racette’s heartbreaking Cio-Cio-San is the most urgent reason to attend. She’s nobly supported by Maria Zifchak as Suzuki, Dwayne Croft as Sharpless and a crack crew of puppeteers and dancers; Roberto Aronica sings with style and ardor, offering less in the way of dramatic presence.
