Be souvenir savvy
This coffee cup-meets–Statue of Liberty photo was the second picture Michael Hughes (hughes-photograph.eu) took in this style (his first was taken in Germany) and the idea has since carried him away to places like India, Denmark and Spain. “First, you look for the funniest or dumbest souvenir,” he begins. Then, starting from a distance, hold the item in front of the lens and move closer until the objects line up. “It’s actually quite tricky, and I strongly suggest giving up coffee so you can hold your hand steady.” While Hughes admits New York is hard because there’s not a lot of open space to set up shots, he’s got three ideas planned for his trip to NYC in October: the Non Violence gun sculpture in front of the UN, the cable cars running to Roosevelt Island and a taxi on a busy street.

Just Kidding Bro. I don't even have a third grader and if I did, he'd have a Pentax 110.
