There are few things that can unite the sexes: pizza and—I’ve recently learned—the NBA finals. But 3:33, a newly launched unisex footwear line designed by pro skater Andrew Reynolds and handcrafted in Portugal, may just join the ranks. My obsession is a bit silly since technically it’s a fall collection and I can’t bear to think about socks right now, and because the inspiration is a homeless Mexican man who wanders around Reynolds’s neighborhood “looking very pissed off.” And yet, somehow it works. There are three styles: a perfectly worn-in tennis shoe, which comes complete with dirty smudges; a diamond-quilted slip-on called Hugh—the bastard child of Hef’s bedroom slippers and a pair of Vans; and, my favorite, a side-zip high-top in suede or leather that will look bitchin’ with dresses or skinny jeans. $185–$220 at Oak (28 Bond St at Lafayette St; 212-677-1293, oaknyc.com) and Gargyle (gargyle.com). Seriously, "complete with dirty smudges?" Comments like that are exactly why people can't stand posing hipsters. This stuff sucks.
